    In 2023, Shanling reignited interest in portable CD players with the EC Mini — a battery-powered transportable model that revitalized the category. EC Zero T builds on that success, refining the concept into a noticeably smaller and lighter form factor. With upgraded anti-shock and anti-skip protection, it delivers reliable, skip-free playback even during movement — making it a truly portable CD solution.

    The return of R2R DAC technology arrived with the EH2 Desktop DAC — Shanling’s first R2R design in nearly 20 years. This resistor-ladder architecture offers a uniquely natural and musical sound that has quickly become a beloved alternative to traditional Delta-Sigma DACs. EC Zero T adopts this R2R platform, pairing it seamlessly with pure CD playback for an authentic, highly engaging listening experience.

    To finish the trilogy of innovation, Shanling introduced tube output to its portable lineup with the flagship M8T in late 2024. Its JAN6418 tube stage and switchable tube/transistor output earned acclaim for delivering two distinct sonic flavors in one device.
