The Pro-Ject E1 Phono was engineered to provide genuine hi-fi vinyl playback at an affordable price while remaining exceptionally easy to use. Unlike conventional entry-level turntables, the E1 Phono focuses on sound quality first. Its precision belt-drive system ensures smooth and stable platter rotation, reducing unwanted noise and improving playback accuracy. The anti-resonant ABS polymer platter is specially reinforced to minimize vibrations and maintain clean, detailed audio reproduction.

The lightweight 8.6-inch aluminum tonearm features low-friction bearings and a newly redesigned headshell optimized for accurate cartridge tracking. Pre-mounted at the factory, the Audio-Technica AT3600L moving magnet cartridge delivers a warm, dynamic, and musical sound signature with excellent detail retrieval and balanced tonal performance.

One of the key advantages of the E1 Phono is its built-in switchable phono preamplifier. This allows direct connection to powered speakers, integrated amplifiers, AV receivers, or active wireless speakers without requiring an external phono stage. Users who later upgrade to a separate phono preamp can bypass the internal circuitry for improved system flexibility.
