    The Pro-Ject Xtension 9 Evolution represents one of the most advanced and refined turntables in Pro-Ject’s premium analog lineup. Developed using technologies derived from the flagship Xtension 10 and Xtension 12 models, the Xtension 9 Evolution combines high-mass construction, magnetic decoupling, advanced vibration damping, and precision engineering into a more compact yet uncompromising audiophile platform.

    Handmade in Europe, the Xtension 9 Evolution was designed around the principle of maximizing rotational stability while eliminating unwanted resonance and vibration. Its massive MDF chassis is internally filled with metal granulate, creating an extremely inert and low-resonance structure capable of preserving the smallest musical details with exceptional clarity and realism.

    One of the most remarkable features of the Xtension 9 Evolution is its magnetically decoupled floating support system. Three powerful magnetic feet isolate the turntable from external vibrations while allowing the heavy chassis to “float” above the supporting surface. This hybrid combination of mass-loaded and suspended turntable design principles dramatically reduces mechanical interference and enhances sonic transparency.

    At the heart of the system is the massive 5.4 kg precision-balanced aluminum platter featuring an internal TPE damping ring and a recycled vinyl top layer. This sophisticated sandwich construction minimizes resonance while providing excellent record coupling and rotational inertia. The platter spins on an inverted stainless steel bearing with ceramic ball and magnetic support, significantly reducing friction, rumble, and bearing noise.

    The Xtension 9 Evolution includes the acclaimed EVO 9cc one-piece carbon fiber tonearm equipped with high-precision inverted ABEC-7 bearings. The ultra-rigid carbon construction delivers exceptional tracking precision with minimal resonance, while adjustable VTA and azimuth settings allow advanced cartridge optimization for demanding audiophile systems.

    The precision belt-drive motor system uses a DC-driven AC generator with electronic speed control for highly stable playback at 33 and 45 RPM. The turntable is also fully prepared for balanced analog playback via optional 5-pin XLR phono cables when paired with compatible balanced phono stages.

    Additional premium features include a heavy record clamp, TPE-damped magnetic feet, Connect it 5P phono cable, electronic speed switching, dust cover, and luxurious hand-finished veneers or high-gloss finishes.
