EC Play -Portable Hi-Fi CD Player with USB DAC and Bluetooth

The Shanling EC Play brings portable CD listening into a modern Hi-Fi format. Designed for users who still enjoy physical discs but want the flexibility of today’s audio features, it combines stable CD playback, powerful headphone amplification, Bluetooth streaming, USB DAC operation, and digital coaxial output in a compact aluminum body.

Its active magnetic CD clamp helps keep discs stable during movement, allowing smoother playback in portable use. The EC Play supports CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs with gapless playback, making it suitable for albums, live recordings, and continuous mixes.

Inside, the EC Play uses a Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC with dual SGM8262-2 amplifier chips. It provides both a 3.5 mm single-ended headphone output and a 4.4 mm balanced output, with balanced power reaching up to 700 mW at 32 ohms. For wireless use, Bluetooth 6.0 allows receiver mode with LDAC, AAC, and SBC, while transmitter mode supports SBC.

The EC Play can also be used as a USB DAC with support for PCM up to 32-bit / 384 kHz and DSD256. For home systems, its 3.5 mm SPDIF coaxial output allows it to work as a compact CD transport with an external DAC.
